Rchive Secures Screenplays for the Entertainment Industry
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- Rchive, Inc. is releasing a free copyright protection system to secure Hollywood screenplays so the issues of script leaks, copyright infringement, and chain of title mismanagement may soon be over. Each year, film production is put on hold, writers are discouraged, and money is lost when a screenplay gets leaked or sensitive documents are unsecured and released to the public. Simultaneously, for a film to be produced, these same documents need to be shared amongst a large group of people. Enter Rchive, a copyright protection system built specifically for the entertainment industry. Rchive provides a secure platform which allows industry professionals, writers, agents, and others to share, track, and revoke access to screenplays and other secured documents. Screenplay security, as part of Rchive’s core philosophy, has been built into the site from the ground up.
Currently, Rchive’s system allows users to share screenplays via e-mail, while disallowing those screenplays to be forwarded or shared with anyone else. In addition, users can view an extensive and detailed audit trail, depicting instances of sharing, feedback, and views complete with timestamps. Privacy settings bar viewers from downloading and printing scripts, unless allowed by the owner.
Rchive’s founder, Raghu K said, "Film is one of my passions, but when I first came to LA, I saw problems with the outdated ways screenplays were being shared. We applied the innovation of the tech industry to Hollywood, and came up with a better way to streamline production.”
This is the first step in building a more secure Hollywood to streamline the production process and bring the entertainment industry into the digital age. Rchive is building out from its existing platform to connect every aspect of the entertainment industry in one site. The platform is completely free and can be found at http://www.rchive.co.
