RCN Boston Chooses Power Vendor That Delivers Green Energy
BOSTON (PRWEB) February 20, 2018 -- RCN Boston announced today that it has chosen a new vendor that delivers green electricity to power the network to its residential and business customers. It is among the first telecom companies in the U.S. to use green electricity in this manner. The new power vendor, IGS Energy, will provide RCN the green electricity through wind power that is transmitted through the electrical grid. The partnership between RCN and IGS Energy was arranged by Mark Sterner of Sterner Energy, RCN’s energy manager. The use of green electricity will significantly reduce the percentage of RCN Boston’s carbon footprint.
