RE/MAX Realtor Mark Ruby Raising Funds for Boys and Girls Club of Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Md. (PRWEB) December 04, 2017 -- Mark Ruby, a Realtor at RE/MAX Advantage Realty, is sponsoring a Westminster High alumni charity lacrosse game on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Ruby Field. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster. The event includes a girl’s game, under 30 guy’s game and over 30 guy’s game.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster is an inspirational organization that is currently helping over 120 local youth in need. They are trying to expand to a new facility that will allow them to serve over 600 youth,” said Ruby. “The goal of this event is to raise awareness of and funds for the Boys & Girls Club while having fun in reuniting with past lacrosse alumni.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster is an after-school enrichment program, providing leadership and character development for kids to put them on the path to a better future. It assists a large percentage of at-risk youth, and gives them a safe place to go that is fun and filled with engaging activities.

“We only charge our kids $20 a year to be a member. The fees are kept low so that all kids can afford to join. We don’t want any kids left behind,” said Erin Bishop, marketing director of the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster. “We are so excited to be working with Mark Ruby. This is the exact kind of community partnership that is so important. We are working with the community to keep kids motivated to do the right thing. We are currently building a new facility on E. Main Street and our goal is to take all 75 kids off our waiting list and make them Club members. We can’t do it alone, so we encourage community members and businesses to help us inspire our youth by being a volunteer at the Club. We also welcome donations to help us run our programs.”
