RE/MAX Realtor Matt Thomas Helping Feed the Hungry at Thanksgiving
Westminster, CO (PRWEB) October 14, 2016 -- Matt Thomas, a RE/MAX Northwest Realtor and founder of The Altitude Group, recently announced his office will be hosting a Thanksgiving food drive to help fight hunger in Colorado. Non-perishable food items, which will be donated to Food Bank of the Rockies, can be dropped off at RE/MAX Northwest, located at 12000 Pecos Street, Suite 160, Westminster, CO (Wells Fargo Building), from October 18 to November 14.
“I have volunteered my time and services to Food Bank of the Rockies and their affiliates for several years now. It’s amazing to see the outpouring of generosity that they receive from the community and which they, in turn, return back to the community,” said Thomas. “I have found them to be the best local resource for distributing the generous donations they receive to the people who are most in need. I’m always impressed by the bounty that is shared with those in our community who have less and are in need. Their operation is incredible to behold. With the help of donors and volunteers, Food Bank of the Rockies is able to help literally thousands.”
Food Bank of the Rockies, the largest private hunger-relief organization in the state of Colorado, provides food for more than 411,000 people annually. It does this by distributing 131,000 meals each day through more than 500 hunger-relief partner agencies and its direct service programs. Thanks to donations, 96 cents of every dollar Food Bank of the Rockies receives goes directly to its food distribution programs.
