ReACT Self-Service Password Reset Software Enhancements Extend User Reach
Naples, Florida (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Advanced Software Products Group (ASPG) has announced changes to ReACT, its enterprise-grade self-service password reset software, that further extend the reach and usability of the system for both end users and administrators alike. The changes enhance ReACT accessibility across all operating systems and devices.
ReACT is a self-service password reset and synchronization software tool for Help Desk installations in universities, government agencies and corporations that allows users to reset their own password and automatically propagates the new one throughout all relevant systems and servers. The tool eliminates nearly all Help Desk calls, substantially reducing the need for staffing and other costs associated with Help Desk centers – but these reductions and cost savings can only be realized if the software is accessible to end users from a variety of devices and operating systems, which is why ReACT now incorporates a fully-brandable FavIcon implementation to bring ease of use to users of iOS devices.
According to Tom Andrews, Vice President of Technology for ASPG, improving access on iOS devices is just the latest entry on a long list of devices, operating systems and access management software with which ReACT is seamlessly integrated.
“We realized long ago that in order for self-service password reset systems to truly achieve their promised cost reductions for companies we had to maximize the number of users that could truly be self-service,” said Andrews. “That means that, out of the box, ReACT works with RACF and Top Secret on z/OS systems, with Novell/eDirectory, with Active Directory on Windows systems, and with a wide variety of other systems and software as well, including UNIX/Linux, AdvantX, Google Apps, Office365, and many more. Making ReACT that interoperable has truly increased the number of end users that can access the software without Help Desk intervention – and at the end of the day, that’s truly helped our customers achieve substantial cost savings.”
