Real Music Studio Producers to Give Viewers Intimate Look at Music Industry's Inner Sanctum

REAL MUSIC STUDIO PRODUCERS is the brainchild of Producers Reefah Joseph and Jordan Murphy. Joseph, a musical child prodigy, has been writing and producing music since the age of twelve and has recorded and performed with multiplatinum recording artists. She produced and directed "510 Garage," one of the Bay Area's most popular video shows which had a viewership of over 2 million. Joseph explains the vision behind RMSP: "I grew up around a lot of music producers, their lives are actually crazier than the artist they produce music for…I want to show what most people don't get the chance to see, a peek at what really happens behind the scenes. Jordan Murphy is no stranger to the viewers of reality television. He was the host of VH1's smash hit "Tool Academy," a competition reality show featuring nine unsuspecting bad boys duped by their girlfriends into enrolling in a "relationship boot camp," and for four seasons on NBC's hit reality show "For Love or Money." Executive Producer Ghost Face Killah (Wu-Tang Clan) is a critically acclaimed rapper who is renowned for his unprecedented storytelling skills, and celebrated for his emotional stream-of-consciouness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs. Using Wu-Tang's success as a launching pad, Ghost Face embarked on his solo career with the release of his first solo LP, the platinum selling Ironman. The album, which featured the introduction of a more pronounced 1970s soul influence, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, followed by the impressive Supreme Clientele (debuting at #7 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart). Ghost Face continued to release an impressive collection of albums, including: The Wallabee Champ (rarities and B-sides) and GhostDeini the Great. Early 2013 saw the release of Twelve Reasons to Die. The album was a collaborative effort with film composer Adrian Younge and was inspired by the Italian murder mystery/slasher film genre known as giallo. Currently, Ghost Face Killah can be seen on the VH-1 series Couples Therapy.
Concerns about making the deadline to dealing with a vicious rumor and a group intervention gone terribly wrong are just a few of the plot lines that keep the viewer captivated for the entire 12-weeks. The cast roster reads like a Hip Hop dream bracket: Oakland Native D'wayne Wiggins is multi-faceted: blues guitarist, producer, composer and community activits, and is best known as the founding member of the 1990s soul/R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!. Over their 10-year career, the group had sold over six million albums, had an impressive 14 Billboard-charting R&B singles, including 5 number one hits, three Top Ten pop singles, two platinum albums, and one double platinum album. Just before the group disbanded Wiggins established Grass Roots Entertainment. He has gone on to work with some of R&B/Hip Hop's greatest acts, from Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole, Jamie Foxx, Carlos Santana and Too Short. Wiggins' current project, Poplyfe, features his two sons and nephew, who are currently touring the Zendaya from "Disney's Shake It Up." "I'm referred to as legendary," Wiggins offers. "But when I'm working with family, it's not even about the money."
Alonzo Jackson hails from East Oakland, where he taught himself several musical instruments at his grandmother's home with childhood friends, D'Wayne Wiggins and Raphael Saadiq. He ultimately met veteran record executive Al Bell (Stax Records and Motown Records Group). "Al would talk to me for hours about all the potential he saw in me, he poured out his wisdom and experiences and often told me that I consistently stayed ahead of the times," commented Jackson. These amazing mentors instilled valuable truths in Jackson, who has gone on to become a respected business leader, musician, composer, music and vocal producer and highly sought after consultant with astounding credits: producing records for Patti LaBelle, Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland, Raphael Saadiq, Tommy Lee, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, Pink, Dr. Dre, Deborah Cox, Sunshine Anderson and Nicole Scherzinger. After several years of working with Dr. Dre at Aftermath Entertainment, Jackson launched ALK Entertainment Group, Inc. a company dedicated to nurturing new and innovative brands from social media models Team Zendaya (Zendaya Coleman of Disney's "Shake It Up") to a revolutionary skin care line.
Rob Bess is also one of Oakland's native sons, and like several Neo Soul artists, began his musical career in church. He is a gifted writer, singer, producer and composer whose environment inspires his lyrics. His diligence has brought him a wealth of experience, knowledge and wisdom that he has channeled into his work. This attitude has brought him the opportunity to work with artists such as Bobby Brown, Club Nouveau, Tony Toni Tone, Kevin Choice, and a host of other local and international artists. Bess explains, "I've been producing music for other artist for years, now it's time to do me."
Bigg D was born in Miami, his father a professional musician and mother a church pianist. A child prodigy, he has been playing music since the age of six. He has toured with BeBe & CeCe Winans and Shirley Ceasar, and has produced some of Billboard's hottest chart toppers such as Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, R-Kelly and Jamie Foxx. Crowned "Mr. Miami" by the Miami Herald, Bigg D is single, successful, famous and enjoys his lavish lifestyle. In 2006 he jointly won BMI's "Songwriter of the Year" award with Mariah Carey and Jim Jonsin for the hit single, "WE Belong Together" at the Annual Urban Awards. In 2010 he produced "Hello Brooklyn" on Jay-Z's "American Gangster" CD, featuring a collaboration between Hova and Lil Wayne. "It's the first record Jay-Z and Lil Wayne ever did together. "To me this is an ultimate achievement. There are a lot of producers in the world that would've loved to do that," says Bigg D. Currently he is working with a hot new boy band and 17 year old movie star KeKe Palmer who is now an aspiring singer. "I wake up every morning and do exactly what I love to do," explains Bigg D. "You can't get any better than that."
Damien Page Lewis is a transplanted Detroit native who now calls the BAy Area home. He has quickly become an in demand Engineer, Mixer and Record Producer, working with music legends Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, Rhianna, Whiz Kalifa, Katy Perry and others. Lewis is a versatile songwriter and arranger whose patience, studio expertise and creativity have made him invaluable to the RMSP project. As a proponent in advocacy, Lewis is the Chairman of the Producers & Engineers Wing of the San Francisco Chapter of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He also serves as a Governor. "I can show anyone how to turn a demo into a finished album and make it a #1 hit," says Lewis.
Super Dave has an incredible ear for music with a Midas touch making every track he creates a potential platinum hit record. His blend of heavy bass and melodic percussion infused with complete orchestra of classical music separates him from the ordinary. An Oakland native, he acquired the nickname at aged 12 when he made a bet that he could learn to play the piano and he did. A child protege at age 13, he taught himself to read and write music, a feat which paid off. His abilities have led to his work with such trendsetting artists as Nikki Minaj, Kanye West, Big Sean, Mariah Carey, Trey Songz, Paloma Faith, 2 Chains and many more.
Rounding out the crew is Richmond, California's own DJ Xtra-Large. He began spinning for hip-hop urban street artist before contracts, budgets and tours existed for 'Gangster rappers," and was one of the first tour DJ's of the Gangster Rap era. He has produced for Tupac, Tha Dogg Pound, UGK, and E-40. Currently, DJ Xtra-Large is developing and mentoring young artists to teach them the business aspect of the industry as the CEO of Dodge City Entertainment.
