Realtor Lindsay Jiricek Names Essential Fall Home Buying Strategies
Greeley, CO (PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- Fall is fast becoming the prime time for buying a house. “In autumn, there is less buyer competition, sellers are motivated and, currently, interest rates are low,” said Sears Real Estate broker associate Lindsay Jiricek. “However, buyers still need to be prepared.”
For those considering buying a new home this fall, Jiricek lists the following three tips:
No. 1: Do your research. “Despite the fact that buyer competition in fall is traditionally low, so is inventory,” says Jiricek. “So, before setting out, buyers should do their research, such as what kind of home they are looking for, neighborhood preference, how much they can afford, etc. Create a list of priorities, and hone in on specific houses.”
No. 2: Review your finances. Jiricek stresses that buyers, before even looking, review their credit reports and ensure they have enough funds for a down payment and closing costs. Afterward, they should talk to a lender in order to get prequalified for a mortgage.
No. 3: Get a home inspection. “Once all your ducks are in a row and you’ve found the home of your dreams, get it inspected before actually buying it; otherwise, that dream home can turn into a nightmare if it needs significant repair,” concludes Jiricek.
