Recognizing the Impact of Early Childhood Learning
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- As children grow up, they are taught numerous significant concepts that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. While the methods that adults use to explain these values may differ, the meaning does not change.
This is exactly the case for Stephen Foss and Tony McMehan, who created a song that taught their children the importance of spending time with family and eating a healthy diet. These same lessons are exactly what Foss and McMehan highlight in their new children’s book, “I’m a Country Gopher.”
Foss, a former pastor, has led numerous children’s camps, choirs and retreats. He used the song as a way to connect with children and emphasize these two different lessons that can help them live a happy life.
“Growing up, Tony and I quickly learned the significance of spending time with family and the benefit of eating a healthy diet,” Foss said. “These values still resonate with us as adults and we sought to teach children how important they are.”
