Red Industries Limited release their Waste Hierarchy Application, the Red Hierarchy App, designed to help waste producers build a more sustainable future
Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire (PRWEB UK) 19 September 2013 -- Since September 2011, any business that imports, produces, transports, collects, recovers or disposes of waste has a duty to take all reasonable measures to ensure they have applied the waste hierarchy when transferring their waste.
The waste hierarchy is a list of approaches to managing waste, ranging from prevention, being the most favourable option through to landfill, being the least favourable option. The challenge now faced by waste producers is how to show that they have considered the waste hierarchy when they transfer their wastes.
Red Industries saw the inception of the waste hierarchy as an opportunity to develop a waste management app that offered their customers the tools to produce in-depth waste reports and a visual representation of their waste streams in relation to the approaches of the waste hierarchy.
The production and release of the Red Hierarchy App or RHApp was driven by the company’s commitment to providing sustainable waste management solutions and a belief that growth and sustainability can go hand in hand if managed effectively.
RHApp is an extension of that commitment; since it was launched on 1st August 2013, all waste producing customers have been given free access to the app, enabling them to enjoy greater transparency and a real sense of control in their waste management processes.
