Rediker Software Improves PK – 12 School Accounting with the Release of FINACS Version 3
Hampden, MA (PRWEB) July 23, 2015 -- July 22, 2015 - Rediker Software, a leader in school administrative software, announces the release of FINACS Version 3 – Accounting for Administrator’s Plus. Since 2005, Rediker Software schools have come to rely on FINACS fund accounting software for it’s easy to use, fully integrated financial reporting capabilities. With the release of FINACS 3, customers will have an even better user experience, with new features including navigation by favorites and icons, a new tabbed format, an updated search feature and ACH capability for receiving payments.

Rediker Software listened to the hundreds of school clients currently using FINACS to understand their needs. For example, when customers saw the need for a secure payment method, ACH capability was added and a NACHA file can now be generated in FINACS 3. This file can be used to allow any bank to receive payments directly from a parent’s bank account. NACHA files are set up and run via a utility export and each record can be modified to the specifications of an individual’s bank.
In addition, when schools asked about including a search feature to look for external files, an ‘Attach Files' icon was added. As a result, external files can now be attached to a transaction when working in any module. By clicking on ‘Attach Files’ the Portfolio dialogue box is launched to specify the file to be attached.
FINACS 3 now offers a range of additional new features including:
Family/Sponsor Central - The new Family/Sponsor Central screen provides family information at a glance. Opened screens can be accessed using tabs; icons help facilitate student linking, exporting and printing, and button actions let the user create charges, add credit, make payments, and issue refunds.
Billing Services - In addition to the powerful batch entry features, dual-currency support and flexible definition of charges, the Student Billing module now allows for each recurring billing code to contain different charge amounts, as well as to point to a different ledger account. Billing codes can also be copied and then modified with new codes and details. A new “Save As” feature also enables you to create a copy of the selected billing code to be modified.
New Dashboard - The new Dashboard enables you to easily view statistical data, create and customize what types of graphs are displayed, and choose a dataset from the Data Source list. Users can choose to display the screen at login or remove it. Graphs can also be customized to display those used most frequently.
