Refreshing Mountain Retreat & Adventure Center to Hold 5th Annual Community Day to Benefit Ephrata Area Social Services
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- Refreshing Mountain Retreat and Adventure Center, located in Lancaster County, PA, is holding its 5th annual Community Day on Wednesday, June 10th from 2-6 pm. The Ephrata area-based event allows locals to enjoy a wide array of activities at Refreshing Mountain, including a chance to ride zip lines, participate on a high ropes challenge course, or enjoy pony rides, a climbing tower, sling shots, archery, nature studies and a near olympic-sized pool with water playground.
Instead of paying for admission, all individuals are asked to bring a canned food item or monetary donation to participate in each activity, with all donations benefitting the Ephrata Area Social Services. Refreshing Mountain has raised thousands of dollars in donations for EASS from the Community Day in years past thanks to the generosity of the local community.
“This is a great opportunity to get the local community involved in giving to a great organization” said Justin Harnish, Director at Refreshing Mountain. “Ephrata Area Social Services is a vital part of our community, and I’m glad we are able to help raise awareness of the important work they do,” he added.
New this year, Refreshing Mountain has extended the hours and added new activities like pony rides and nature programs, to keep pace with the growing attendance each year. The day will also feature the maiden launch of a new Hot Air Balloon, flown by US Hot Air Balloon Association. This balloon is sponsored by several local businesses and will be flying over Lancaster County all summer long.
