FORT WORTH, Texas (PRWEB) March 21, 2018 -- Certrec, a leading NERC regulatory compliance service provider, hosted a NERC compliance workshop held in Fort Worth on March 7-8, 2018.
Attendees consisted of generator owner/operators from six of the eight NERC regions representing wind, solar, gas, hydro, and coal assets.
The workshop provided an update on CIP as well as facility ratings guidance as they pertain to GO/GOP registered entities. Regional representatives presented their regulatory perspectives on the latest relevant standards, the risk-based approach to compliance, and lessons learned. Guest presenters discussed cyber security, new standards, and human performance. Certrec’s NERC team provided guidance on best practices.
“We’re pleased at the growth in attendance as well as the enthusiasm of participants at the recent workshop. We’re looking forward to continued success in 2019,” stated Ted Enos, Certrec President.
“By all measures, our third annual workshop was an overwhelming success. The industry attendees, the Regional Entities, and NERC’s EISAC shared valuable insights from both an implementation viewpoint and a regulator’s perspective,” said Bob Biggs, Certrec Office of NERC Compliance Services Director.
