REI Welcomes Tracie Winbigler as New Chief Financial Officer

Seattle (PRWEB) December 17, 2015 -- National outdoor specialty retailer, REI, welcomes finance and operations-veteran Tracie Winbigler as its new chief financial officer (CFO). She will lead the co-op’s finance, accounting, tax, payroll, treasury, internal audit, procurement and asset protection departments.

Winbigler most recently served as chief operations officer at National Geographic Society and was responsible for the strategic and operational activities across finance, technology, project management office, facilities and supply chain. She joined National Geographic Society in 2012 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. She has more than 25 years of leadership experience with a wide variety of organizations, from NBC Network to General Electric.

“Tracie is a strategic thinker with a passion for mission-based organizations, and will help lead the co-op during a pivotal time,” said Eric Artz, REI’s executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO). “Her experience and drive to innovate will serve REI well as we continue to grow sustainably for the future, invest back into the co-op and increase our support of the outdoor community.”

With Winbigler’s appointment, Artz will focus on his role of COO, and continue leading the digital information technology, real estate, supply chain and corporate strategy divisions.
