New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) July 21, 2015 -- The annual meeting of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the largest national conference for Nurse Practitioners, took place from Tuesday, June 9th to Sunday, June 14th in New Orleans, LA, marking the 50th anniversary of the first Nurse Practitioner program. Among the exhibitions at this year’s conference was Relizen, a new non-hormonal, non-phytoestrogenic therapy for the relief of hot flashes associated with menopause made from natural flower pollen. Recently launched in the U.S., Relizen has been used by women and physicians in Europe for more than 15 years and has clinical efficacy established in multiple trials which have been published in peer reviewed journals, including Climacteric.
Diane Pace, PhD, APRN, NCMP, FAANP, presented her perspective on “The Menopausal Woman: Reviewing the Evidence and Developing a Collaborative Plan for Primary Care.” In addition, Dr. Pace hosted the Relizen dinner reception on Friday June 12th in New Orleans. “Dr. Pace has a long-standing collaborative relationship with important organizations such as, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO), working to define and present better treatment options and other issues associated with menopause. JDS is thrilled to have Dr. Pace support the science and treatment benefits associated with Relizen, for the relief of hot flashes associated with menopause,” stated Michael Quinn, Vice President of Sales at JDS Therapeutics.
