Renault Sport F1 and ADT to Present on 3D Inverse Design Methodology at VINAS 2015
CHICAGO, LONDON, and TOKYO (PRWEB) September 07, 2015 -- Advanced Design Technology (ADT), a global leader in the development of advanced turbomachinery design methods and the TURBOdesign Suite, today announces that two presentations scheduled for the VINAS 2015 Conference to be held October 14 and 15 at the Tokyo Conference Centre, Shinagawa, Japan will focus on ADT’s TURBOdesign software and its time-saving, efficiency and optimization capabilities using 3D inverse design methodology.
One key presentation will be given by Pierre-Jean Tardy, Expertise and Support Team Leader for Renault Sport F1, focusing on how ADT's TURBOdesign Suite is helping Renault Sport to improve turbocharger compressors for future generations of F1 engines. TURBOdesign Suite has already helped major turbocharger manufacturers such as Cummins Turbo Technology to significantly improve performance of turbocharger compressors. This presentation will highlight some of the requirements imposed by F1 regulation on the turbocharger compressor including the coupling with an electric motor/generator. It will be of interest to design engineers involved in electrification of engine powertrains as well as motorsport applications.
“We are very pleased to have Pierre-Jean Tardy sharing their work on the development of new high performance compressors for F1 at this year’s VINAS UGM in Tokyo”, said Mehrdad Zangeneh, Managing Director of Advanced Design Technology. "Our 3D inverse design optimization methodology enables truly innovative solutions while reducing development time and costs, these presentations at VINAS 2015 will show how companies dramatically shorten design times while improving accuracy, performance and efficiencies using the TURBOdesign Suite."
The theme at this years' conference is solution for large-scale, high-precision and optimized design - open application and cloud computer usage for design.
The titles for the 3D inverse design methodology presentations at VINAS 2015 are as follows:
• "Compressor optimization for a Formula 1 Hybrid Turbocharged Power Unit using ADT’s TURBOdesign Suite." by Pierre-Jean Tardy – Renault Sport F1.
• "New features and functionalities in TURBOdesign Suite 6.0 for optimal design of complete Turbomachinery stages" Prof. Mehrdad Zangeneh - Advanced Design Technology.
The VINAS user group will coincide with ADT releasing TURBOdesign Suite 6 - a major update to the Suite with significant new functionality and new modules to enable a faster, more effective design process for all engineers. Attend this event to learn about how the new functionality within TURBOdesign Suite 6 can enable you and your organisation to produce designs of higher performance than ever before, quicker than ever before.
TURBOdesign Suite System Requirements, Availability and Pricing
TURBOdesign Suite 5.2.5 in now available for download, the Suite runs on Windows systems. It operates on mid-range workstations with 2.4 Ghz or better processors, 2 GB RAM and 1Gb disk space. The TURBOdesign Suite is sold in modules starting from $15,000 USD with software training and technical support included.
About Advanced Design Technology
Advanced Design Technology (ADT) is a global leader in the development of advanced turbomachinery design methods, which helps not only to shorten development time but also to improve the performance of turbomachinery components. ADT’s aim is to put designers in direct control of the aerodynamic design and to shorten, considerably, the design time and time to market for a range of turbomachinery products. ADT’s clients, who represent some of the leading global players in the aerospace, automotive, power generation and marine fields, have achieved significant returns on investment in terms of reduction in design times, higher performance and ease of know-how transfer among different design teams and projects.
