Rendina Receives Nomination for 2017 HREI Insights Awards
JUPITER, Fla. (PRWEB) November 01, 2017 -- Rendina Healthcare Real Estate has been named a finalist in the 2017 HREI Insights Awards™. Held annually, the HREI Insights Awards™ recognize facilities that represent high achievement in the area of healthcare real estate development. Rendina has been nominated for the award nine times and received three awards in the past, including HREI’s Lifetime Achievement Award for founder Bruce A. Rendina.
RWJBarnabas at Bayonne, an 80,000 square foot freestanding emergency department (ED) in downtown Bayonne, N.J., is nominated for “Best New Development of an MOB or Outpatient Facility” (between 50,000 and 99,999 square feet). The facility opened in August of this year and is already making meaningful improvements in the community.
Part of a larger revitalization plan for downtown Bayonne, the new outpatient center includes a 300-space parking structure and brings critical healthcare services to the area, including a 24/7 ED, imaging center, retail pharmacy, pediatric center, physical therapy, women’s center and services for primary care.
The building and parking structure were developed by Rendina, who assisted RWJBarnabas in navigating the complexities of urban development. Providing oversight throughout the project life, Rendina focused on meeting the proposed timeline and minimizing the impact such a large construction project would have on local residents. Since officially opening Aug. 21st, the ED has seen more than 800 patients, and the imaging center conducted more than 5,000 tests since opening. The facility is projected to bring in roughly $300,000 annually in recurring tax revenue for the city and is responsible for providing approximately 120 jobs.
