Reno Film Directory Streamlines Production Resources in Northern Nevada
Reno, NV (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Award winning film producer Adryenn Ashley launched the Reno Film Directory, an online resource guide for production companies to find film friendly businesses, resources and local crew and talent.
“I started my film career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we had a thriving indie community that was organized, easy to find, and simple to tap into. When the RSCVA announced they were opening Reno Tahoe Studios and pushing for incentives, I knew the first step to creating a sustainable film industry here was to create a community for everyone in the business, to find the pieces they needed to get their projects done, at every level, not just films that qualified for the incentives.” Ashley has a long successful history in independent film, shooting her first feature for just $8000, the award winning film, “Metal” which went on to critical acclaim worldwide.
To recreate that indie spirit community here in Northern Nevada, Ashley launched RenoFilm.com, a hybrid directory/community filmmaker site. The site is broken down into sections: Searchable Business, Cast, and Crew Listings, Forums, Calendar of Events, and a Blog.
Ashley explains her design, “It’s not enough to just have listings. Without engagement, dialogue, and resources, its not a community. To be useful there must be contribution by the community to create growth that the industry needs.”
Listings are available to qualified film crews and talent, as well as to all film friendly businesses. With a major marketing push out to the over 6000 small indie producers who could produce here, the directory promises to bring awareness to the quality resources available to production companies.
