Renowned Healthcare Leader Dr. Michael J. Zinner Joins Hospital IQ Board of Directors
NEWTON, Mass. (PRWEB) March 31, 2016 -- Hospital IQ today announced that Michael J. Zinner, M.D., CEO and Executive Medical Director of the Miami Cancer Institute has been elected to its board of directors.
Dr. Zinner brings more than four decades of clinical and executive leadership experience. Prior to his role at the Miami Cancer Institute, a new collaboration between Baptist Health South Florida and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he was the Surgeon-in-Chief at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), the Co-founder and Co-director of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Founder of Harvard Medical School’s Center for Surgery and Public Health.

He was also the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Co-director of the Gastrointestinal Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at UCLA Medical School and Medical Center and the Clinical Director at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. Dr. Zinner has authored more than 230 academic papers and is a member of the editorial boards of Annals of Surgery, Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons.
