Renowned Speed Painter Tim Decker Raises over $500,000 for Various Charities
Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) April 25, 2014 -- There’s an old adage that says, “only what you do for others will last” and thanks to renowned Speed Painter Tim Decker, various charities across the nation now have the financial resources to help those less fortunate than they are.
“It truly is a dream come true to be able to do what I love for a living,” said Decker. “I followed my dreams (literally), dropped everything I was doing, and went for it. I’m glad that following my dreams has allowed me to be able to help various charities raise the funds they need.”
Decker, a worldwide touring speed painter, who paints celebrity portraits on oversized canvases in a matter of minutes, has raised more than $500,000 for various charities from painting sales in 2013 alone.
He has had single paintings raise as much as $66,000.
Although Decker has given a helping hand in raising funds for various charities, he has humble beginnings.
In fact, he started performing at smaller festivals and from there booked gigs across the entire United States, and is now performing for some of the top companies, charities, and celebrities.
As to how those in attendance of Decker’s painting events rate his performances and expertise, representatives for the George HW Bush Celebrity Golf Classic Charity Event described Decker as one of a kind.
“Tim's performance was the "knock out" we needed to make our 10th Anniversary year a huge success. As you know, it's hard to come up with fresh ideas every year to engage the audience. His performance was truly incredible. He is a terrific showman, and our guests responded immediately with a resounding standing ovation. Tim was so very easy to work with. He did all he promised and then some.”
But representatives of the George HW Bush Celebrity Golf Classic Charity Event aren’t the only ones who are impressed with Decker.
Celebrity Entertainer Marie Osmond said Decker, “Is amazing.”
In addition, Basketball Hall of Famer, Dick Vitale, said Decker does, “A fabulous job.”

About Tim Decker
Tim grew up in Brodheadsville, a small town in Eastern Pennsylvania and studied Media Communications at East Stroudsburg University. Decker never expressed much interest in art, only taking two art classes to fill his college schedule with less demanding classes.
Then in 2009, Decker woke one morning after having a dream that would change the course of his life. Tim dreamed that he was speed painting on a beach boardwalk, though he had never heard of speed painting up until that point. He woke that morning, bought a gallon of paint, and painted his first portrait, none other than Mr. T. Thus began his journey.
