Renowned Weight Loss Camp Joins the Most Powerful Movement in High School Sports

Since 2009, The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), has developed an interscholastic mountain biking program for over 7,000 students in 18 states. In Utah alone, over 100 high schools, 70 teams and 1500-some kids state-wide stay physically and mentally charged from the healthy, low impact recreational lifestyle.

From May through October, PFC Fitness Camp volunteers almost 200 hours coaching Corner Canyon High School, the largest team in the nation with an astounding 142 riders. Through a combination of high intensity interval training (HIIT) cross training and calisthenics, the student athletes are introduced to comprehensive, balanced workouts aimed to elevate performance for all levels of riders. And with State Championships on the near horizon, these riders are anxious to cash in on the hours of sweat equity endured for the most anticipated event of the season.
