RepairLabs Has Built an Interactive Infographic on How Cell Phones Work & Why They Lose Signal
Wichita, KS (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- RepairLabs, an express-ship device repair center, has delved into why it is that cell phones lose signal at the worst possible times, digging deep and doing the research to find the specifics behind this inconvenience.
To figure out exactly why the phone loses signal, RepairLabs needed to first know exactly how a cell phone works. With that in mind, they found out the specifics on how our cell phones communicate with the cell phone towers, known as base stations, and what goes into making your cell phone call make it from point A to point B.
Now that they had figured out how the cell phone works, RepairLabs was able to find the reasoning behind the dampening of signal, complete loss of signal, and what you can do to help bring back some of that lost signal. They took all of this information, and compiled it into one definitive interactive infographic on how phones work, showcasing all of the research they had done, and the data they had collected, while still being easily digestible.
“I honestly did not know that holding your cell phone up higher actually helped with the signal, it always seemed a bit ridiculous to me!” exclaimed Michelle Abril, Lead Graphic Designer for RepairLabs.
Holding the phone higher is indeed one of the three ways highlighted by RepairLabs as a way to improve phone signal, along with going outside and away from people, and using a phone signal booster if all else fails.
“Phone service is finicky at best, but at least now people know what to avoid and what they can do to try improve signal, even if only marginally,” were the thoughts of Jason Draper, RepairLabs’ own I.T. Manager.
