Report: Fibromyalgia is Now Featured in Washington Metro Ads; CBCD Recommends Two Remedies against Latent HSV Linked to FM
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- “Infected with the herpes virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2)? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD), which tested the formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR in two post-marketing clinical studies, recommends taking these natural antiviral supplements.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
New ads raising awareness about Fibromyalgia (FM) are on display in the Washington D.C. metro area. “The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is focusing on people with health problems and disabilities that may not be visible to others. A new group of ads has been created with help from the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) to remind people to leave seats open for others … the priority seats meant to be used by people with disabilities are often taken by others who refuse to give them up. If a person has an invisible illness such as fibromyalgia, then it is almost impossible to convince others to move.” (1) FM is a condition characterized by widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbance, fatigue and often psychological distress.
Some studies have shown a link between the development of FM and the presence of a herpes virus. For example, a major trial attempted to determine if the herpes simplex virus (HSV) is linked to Fibromyalgia. Dr. Pridgen, the lead researcher in the trial mentioned above, now believes that herpes viruses are the underlying cause of conditions like Fibromyalgia. “Other than a 1993 theory proposing herpes simplex virus was at play in ME/CFS, interest has been scanty. HSV-1’s ability to affect many of the genes and gene pathways suspected of playing a role in nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome and autism, however, lead one researcher to propose it could play a role in all of them.” (See Simmaron Research, from December 16, 2013) (2)
The CBCD therefore recommends that individuals concerned about Fibromyalgia, and who may be infected with HSV, take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR, two natural antivirals that were shown to reduce herpes symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the family of herpes viruses, including HSV-1 and HSV-2. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with (HSV-1 or HSV-2)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)
Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.
Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinensis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
According to the CDC, “People with Fibromyalgia may also have other symptoms; such as: morning stiffness, tingling or numbness in hands and feet, headaches, including migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, sleep disturbances, cognitive problems with thinking and memory (sometimes called "fibro fog"), painful menstrual periods and other pain syndromes.” (See the CDC, last updated November 7, 2012) (4).
Are there treatments against the herpes virus?
“Two types of antiviral treatments against HSV are available: topical and oral. The treatments include penciclovir, acyclovir, famciclovir, and valaciclovir. However, their effectiveness is limited. For instance, a meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled and two dose comparison studies evaluated the effect of aciclovir, famciclovir or valaciclovir on symptoms. The meta-analysis showed that oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.” (See Pharmacology and Pharmacy, from September 2013) (3). There are also natural antiviral products that studies show to be safe and effective in reducing herpes symptoms. Two of these products are Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin.
