Report: Genital Herpes Virus Causes Severe Pelvic Pain; The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) Recommends Two Natural HSV Remedies
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) February 09, 2015 -- “Infected with the herpes virus (HSV-1, or HSV-2)? The CBCD, which conducted two separate post-marketing clinical studies on the natural, antiviral formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR recommends taking these natural supplements to help the immune system target the latent HSV.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD
Women can experience extreme pain in the pelvic area, in particular the vulva, during a herpes virus outbreak. In fact, Dr. Joseph M. Maurice and colleagues wrote in a report that “infectious causes of acute vulvar pain include … acute genital herpes.” (1) The vulva is the outer part of the vagina. Once infected, the initial outbreak can be so severe that hospitalization is required. As Dr. Maurice wrote, “Primary genital herpes infections can be extremely painful with an accompanying flu-like illness; patients may require admission for intravenous, antiviral therapy and pain management.” (1) WebMD notes that when the pain is not severe enough for hospital admission, women can take an over-the-counter pain reliever, “such as aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen.” (See WebMD.com, last reviewed on September 22, 2014) (2) Additionally, “doctors sometimes recommend soaking the affected area in warm water. But the area should be kept dry most of the time. If toweling off after bathing is uncomfortable, try using a hair dryer. Then put on cotton underwear. Cotton absorbs moisture better than synthetic fabric does.” (2)
The genital herpes virus establishes a latent, lifelong infection. From this position, the virus is able to reactivate whenever the immune system is weakened. For example, “long-term or chronic stress, through too much wear and tear, can ravage the immune system.” (See the American Psychological Association from February 23, 2006) (3) This weakening of the immune system can lead to a reactivation of the herpes virus, and an outbreak. As MedicalDaily.com notes, “Stress is known to be associated with reactivation of latent herpes virus.” (See MedicalDaily.com, from January 21, 2013) (4)
It is important for women to understand that most drugs against the herpes virus only reduce symptoms by one day. “A meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled and two dose comparison studies evaluated the effect of aciclovir, famciclovir or valaciclovir on symptoms. The meta-analysis showed that oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.” (See Pharmacology & Pharmacy, from August 2013) (5) The CBCD believes in helping women deal with a herpes infection naturally. “When a woman discovers that she is infected with the genital herpes virus, she will want to safely, effectively, and naturally reduce symptoms.”– Greg Bennett, CBCD.
The CBCD recommends that HSV-2 infected women take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR, which are two natural safe and effective, antiviral products are shown to reduce herpes symptoms in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines.
Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are not drugs, and they do not prevent genital herpes. Instead, they are natural herpes remedies designed to help the immune system target the latent virus.

The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the family of herpes viruses, including HSV-1 and HSV-2. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with (HSV-1 or HSV-2)…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (5) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (5)
Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.
Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinensis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
With the numbers of HSV infected individuals in the millions, uninfected individuals may have sex with an infected person and not know it. “People with genital herpes can still infect their sex partners - even if they are taking anti-herpes drugs that prevent herpes outbreaks. Even when they don't have an active herpes outbreak, people who carry genital herpes viruses are at risk of infecting their sex partners…” (See WebMD, from January 5, 2012) (6)
