Republic Bank Successfully Leverages Integrated Legacy Solutions’ OmniViewTM Universal Image and Data Browser
Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Integrated Legacy Solutions (ILS), the leading provider of legacy image and data migration and conversion tools to the financial industry, announced today that $4.1 billion, Louisville, Ky.-based Republic Bank has successfully leveraged ILS’ universal image and data browser, OmniView™, for research and storage of acquired image and report data, as well as its in-house legacy systems.
Republic Bank first partnered with ILS in 2013 following its acquisition of First Commercial Bank and has since relied on the company’s OmniView Browser to store and research acquired image data and in-house legacy systems following several acquisitions. Republic Bank selected ILS’ OmniView because it was in need of a solution that would easily store and retrieve check images, statement images, reports and associated documents from the acquired institutions’ imaging and archival systems and some non-production in-house systems, without undergoing time-consuming, costly data conversions.
Republic Bank’s partnership with ILS is strategically important to the bank’s overall operations and IT strategy as OmniView integrates with Microsoft’s Active Directory, enabling the bank to quickly research acquired images and data across multiple, disparate systems enterprise wide. The implementation is handled by ILS staff and is easily accessible in just a matter of days, opposed to the months (or even years) that some traditional data conversions take. Now, Republic Bank can easily conduct federated searches and research, print or email images, statements and reports enterprise wide, without maintaining multiple legacy hardware and software systems.
“The OmniView Browser has become a one-stop-shop for our research area as it enables us to store and access all data in one browser while eliminating the need to maintain multiple systems-house,” said Scott Estes, vice president of Technology Services for Republic Bank. “It has been a pleasure working with ILS for the past several years and we look forward to an ongoing partnership as our institution continues to grow.”
“Managing legacy data, whether following an acquisition or the changing of production systems, can be a frustrating process for many financial institutions, but our OmniView Browser enables financial institutions to store and retrieve their legacy or acquired data from a single place with minimal resource requirements from the client or their IT group,” said Kris Bishop, president of ILS. “We remain committed to helping institutions like Republic Bank successfully support their legacy data archive requirements and M&A initiatives while handling data as seamlessly and cost effectively as possible.”
