Republic Recording Artists CIMORELLI to Perform At Rocket21 Anti-Bullying School Assemblies; Contest Encourages Youth to Stand Up to Prevent Bullying
San Francisco and New York (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- Rocket21 [the youth opportunity platform safely connecting kids and teens with professionals and experts representing industries, professions, passions, and movements that span the globe] today announced that Republic Recording pop sensations CIMORELLI will perform at middle school and high school assemblies in support of Rocket21’s anti-bullying T -shirt design contest, in partnership with youth-run apparel company, Fight Your Ignorance.
CIMORELLI, a band of six sisters, has amassed more than 500 million YouTube hits and more than 2 million subscribers. Their latest release, "Made in America" was chosen as the iTunes Single of the Week, and their "Made in America" EP charted in the Top 25 in countries on every continent. Ranging in age from 13 to 22, the sisters have studied classical piano and vocal jazz, play a range of instruments, have performed in musical theater, write their own songs, and are influenced by a wide range of musical styles and genres.
From now through January 31st, youth under age 18 are encouraged to participate in Rocket21’s Dream Big to Stop Bullying Competition. To enter, Rocket21 Members must submit an original, anti-bullying T-Shirt Slogan, along with their own ideas for how to prevent bullying.
“Bullying is a serious issue confronting middle school and high school students, and youth on Rocket21 want to help,” said Jodell Seagrave, Rocket21 President/COO. “We’re honored to have CIMORELLI’s participation in support of our partnership and contest with youth-run anti-bullying apparel company, Fight Your Ignorance.”
Two Grand Prize Winners in age categories of Youth Under 13 and Teens 13-17 will win a major prize package including: an Anti-Bullying Summit at their school, featuring an anti-bullying songwriting clinic guided by Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Steve Seskin; Fight Your Ignorance youth founder Zayanne Rifai; and a Google Hangout broadcast of the anti-bullying song performed by the school’s students. CIMORELLI will perform at each of the two winning schools.
The grand prize winning students will receive $500 and their respective schools will also win $500 per school. Additionally, the winners’ T-Shirt designs will be featured in the Fight Your Ignorance online store and on Rocket21, with the winners’ schools receiving $6 for each of their schools’ student-designed shirts sold during an extended promotional period. In addition, each school will receive 100 of their students’ winning T-shirts. Many other competitors will receive Finalist prizes as well.
