Researchers from World's Leading Job Simulation Company Contribute to Upcoming Book
Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Employment Technologies Corporation (ETC), the world’s leading expert in simulation-based assessments, today announced that two of their lead researchers are contributing authors for a new book being released by Springer on July 31st.
Simulation for Personnel Selection provides a comprehensive overview of employment simulation technologies, offering practical examples as well as a sneak peek into the latest developments and innovations. ETC’s Joe LaTorre, Director of Product Design and Consulting, and Mary Ann Bucklan, Director of Research, coauthored the chapter, “Simulation for Service Roles.”
“We were honored to be selected to contribute to this valuable project,” explains LaTorre, who has been employed with ETC for 22 years. “As innovators in job simulation technologies, it’s gratifying to see how far the field has advanced in the last two decades.” LaTorre designs and directs the development of ETC’s EASy brand simulations as well as all custom projects, working with clients throughout North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
“More and more companies are becoming interested in using simulations for pre-employment testing,” says Bucklan, a 12-year ETC veteran. “However, building a simulation can be a lot more complex than creating other types of tests. This book will help organizations gain a much better understanding of what is involved in creating and successfully deploying a simulation as part of the hiring process. It provides many real-world examples that illustrate how companies are successfully using simulations. We are proud to be a part of this effort.”
Bucklan participates in the design and development of ETC’s state-of-the-art simulations, with a focus on research and validation. She is a coauthor of another book, The Job Analysis Kit (1995, with Sandra McIntire and Deonda Scott).
“We are the pioneers of employment simulations and are able to remain on the forefront because of our commitment to research and product development,” commented Joseph Sefcik, founder and president of ETC. “Both Joe and Mary Ann are dedicated professionals and recognized authorities in the area of simulation design, implementation, and validation.”
Simulation for Personnel Selection will be available online through Springer and Barnes & Noble starting July 31st and through Amazon on August 31st.
