(PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- The Church of Scientology of Mexico invited community leaders to attend a special open house August 12 that featured a tour of the Church’s Public Information Center and a seminar on The Way to Happiness, a nonreligious moral code based entirely on common sense.
Visitors watched a series of videos on the remarkable success this booklet has had in bringing calm to communities torn by violence, peace to areas ravaged by civil strife and self-respect to millions of individuals in schools, prisons, churches and youth and community centers.
Many of those attending were Mexico City School Safety Unit Officers, charged not only with the security of the schools but also the welfare of the children.
The Church’s Social Reform Director conducted a seminar covering two of the precepts of The Way to Happiness: Number 20 “Try not to do things to others that you would not like them to do to you,” and number 21 “Flourish and prosper.”
She also demonstrated the use of all the educational materials designed to help others learn and apply the 21 precepts of the moral code. She showed them each of the components of the program including the booklets, public service announcements, posters, feature length book-on-film and educator’s guide.
Inspired by the words of L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of the Scientology religion, that “a being is only as valuable as he can serve others,” Scientologists wholeheartedly support the distribution of The Way to Happiness. Participation and collaboration in this and other Scientology-supported humanitarian initiatives and social betterment programs is invited and welcomed from all who seek to improve conditions for themselves and others.
