Rethinking The Value Of Municipal Bond Credit Ratings: Commercial Solar Power, Inc. Will Share It's Investigative Findings On The Puerto Rico Financial Crisis.
New York, New York (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- Commercial Solar Power was active in Puerto Rico when the island experienced the largest municipal bond default in recent history. This $69 billion dollar default created economic challenges on the island and forced CSP to reconsider its active projects. To avoid being involved in a similar situation in the future, the CSP Board of Directors commissioned a forensic investigation into the Puerto Rico financial collapse. On September 27th, 2016 at 10 AM eastern time, CSP will hold a press conference to share it's findings with the public. The event will be held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on the 18th floor. The Hotel is located at 301 Park Avenue, New York, NY. As part of CSP's forensic investigation the company immediately started to review the islands municipal bond offerings to determine the rational used by the big three credit rating agencies for the islands historically good ratings. The investigation includes a close examination of the financial statements for all the respective municipal agencies as well as the islands Government Development Bank.
As much as these findings will assist CSP in the future, CSP believes it is critical that we share the results with the American people.
Commercial Solar Power will endeavor to utilize it's 28 years of banking and market experience to explain how the municipal bond market works, how credit ratings should be determined and the critical role that should be played by federal regulators and the DOJ to provide oversight for this $4.2 trillion dollar market.
CSP will also explore the actions taken by our elected officials during and after the Puerto Rico financial collapse.
An extensive list of documents relating to the islands debt will be reviewed and made available to all participants.
For those that cannot attend the press conference in person, CSP will be live streaming this event over the internet. The link below will be active on the day of the event.
