Rev. Dr. John Tweedie Releases Book Discovering God’s Power in Life’s Trials: Healing for Damaged Emotions
Pittsburgh, Pa. (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- Rev. Dr. John Tweedie, Chairman of C4I Canada and President/CEO of C4I America, has released his first book, Discovering God’s Power in Life’s Trials: Healing for Damaged Emotions.
The book correlates with Walking with the Prophets, Season Four of Dr. Tweedie’s television show Israel: The Prophetic Connection. In both the book and the TV series, Dr. Tweedie examines how ordinary people were called to do extraordinary things by God, and how they too struggled as we do today.
Dr. Tweedie was led to begin writing Discovering God’s Power in Life’s Trials while he was developing scripts and completing production on season four of his television show.
“We all face trials in this life that feel insurmountable,” Dr. Tweedie said. “But we have never been alone. Even the prophets ordained by God struggled with such challenges as suicidal thoughts, crippling anxiety and deep loss. Upon filming Israel: The Prophetic Connection I felt a deep desire to convey God’s faithfulness in all of our lives.”
Elijah, Moses, Daniel, John the Baptist and others struggled in real ways in which people struggle today. They overcame obstacles such as depression, feelings of unworthiness and being falsely accused while still accomplishing remarkable tasks for God’s glory, offering hope to all.

About Rev. Dr. John Tweedie
Born in Northern Ireland, U.K., Dr. Tweedie immigrated to Canada in 1967 and has since served congregations in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. In 1997 he helped to establish C4i Canada where he continues to serve as Chairman. In 2012, an American sister C4i branch was established with Dr. Tweedie serving as President and CEO.
In 1988, Dr. Tweedie was also instrumental in the establishment of New Covenant Christian Fellowship in Brantford, Ontario, a congregation he served as Senior Pastor until his retirement in June, 2015. This step has allowed Dr. Tweedie to devote his full time and attention to the urgent, if prophetic, message and mission of C4i, and as reflected through his work on the program Israel: The Prophetic Connection, his writings, and two earlier acclaimed television documentaries about Israel that aired internationally under the titles Israel: A Journey Through Time and Israel: A Journey of Light.
