Revamped EDC Functionality is Highlight of OnCore Version 13.0

EDC in OnCore 13.0: Flexibility and control over forms and study data
The latest release of OnCore includes more than 150 enhancements. A key feature is new EDC functionality that was designed in collaboration with leading clinical research institutions. The work has resulted in a solution that provides research staff with flexibility and control over the design, use, monitoring, and export of data from eCRFs. The EDC functionality in OnCore allows staff to manage clinical data entry and monitoring activities across the entire research center in support of investigator initiated trials.
• Real-time preview functionality allows the user to quickly see what the form will look like and to test data entry constraints.
• Users build constraints for data entry as they create the forms without the need to know programming languages.
• Forms can be easily optimized to fit workflows, help improve data consistency, and streamline data entry. Data-entry helpers include conditional logic and find-as-you-type fields.
• Query management functionality streamlines communication between data monitors and study coordinators.
• View queries for an entire study with the Form Data Discrepancy report to gain insight into data entry trends.
Additional enhancements focus on reports, usability
The latest release also includes several enhancements that are focused on reports and usability:
• Integrated context-sensitive help: Throughout the application, users can easily access help documentation that is relevant to where they are within the system.
• A single, easy view of staff credentials: Users can view and download staff credentials in one easy view for a protocol. This functionality enables users to quickly gather regulatory documents from all staff members on a protocol.
• Summary 3 & 4 data tables: These reports have been updated to support new guidelines recently set forth by the NCI for the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG); institutions that receive CCSG funding can now easily generate these reports with just a few clicks.
• Arm-specific follow-ups: Enhancements to follow-up functionality enable users to define follow-up procedures based upon the treatment arm.
• Accrual reports for NCI’s Clinical Trials Reporting Program (CTRP): Users can now easily generate quarterly accrual reports that are required by the NCI.
