Rex's Chicken to Open in Muscogee Creek Nation Travel Plazas by March 2014
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Muscogee and Okmulgee Oklahoma will be the launching point for a major expansion of the iconic, fast casual Rex’s Chicken brand within the next couple months. Under an agreement signed in early 2013, the Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise plans to open Rex's Chicken locations in its new travel plazas by March, starting with Muscogee and Okmulgee, and then eventually, in more travel plazas throughout Oklahoma as well as a number of its highest grossing casinos.

The Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise just recently bought the rights to bring the Rex’s Chicken restaurant to its eight county jurisdictional area. Already an iconic Oklahoma brand, Rex’s Chicken is slated to create a major draw for travelers along with gas, gaming and existing products already located at the plazas. Rutkauskas says the lucrative deal represents the tireless work over the last five years of her and her husband, David, and their unwavering faith in the potential of Rex’s Chicken:

Founded in 1951, Rex’s rebirth came when David Rutkauskas, Rex’s Chicken CEO, obtained the rights in 2007 and opened a location in Tulsa, OK in 2008. Since then, Rutkauskas has partnered with Curtis Branch who bought the Tulsa location and is the Master Franchisee for Oklahoma.
