Rhode Island Business Gives Back to the Community During 2015 Holiday Season
Warwick, RI (PRWEB) December 29, 2015 -- Brave River Solutions (BRS) maintained company tradition by supporting local charities this holiday season. The technology services provider, located in Warwick, RI, held three giving campaigns, all benefitting area non-profits.
In November, Brave River’s employees came together to raise money to purchase a Thanksgiving feast for a local family through Boys Town New England. The “Buy A Bird” campaign provides Thanksgiving baskets to families in Boys Town New England’s In-Home Family Services program. The baskets contained not only a Thanksgiving turkey, but also fresh produce, dairy products, stuffing, and everything needed to complete a holiday meal. The Brave River team was glad to take part in providing this meal for a local family in need.
Also starting in late November, Brave River Solutions ran its annual employee donation campaign to support the United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI); the company has successfully partnered with UWRI many times in the past. UWRI works to help change lives across the state with a number of community impact initiatives. UWRI works with schools, government agencies, businesses, organized labor, financial institutions, community development corporations, voluntary and neighborhood associations, and the faith community to help Rhode Islanders in need.
As the end of the year approached, Brave River Solutions worked with Boys Town New England once again, this time working to provide Christmas gifts to two local children in the foster care system. Brave River staff purchased gifts off of the children’s wish lists, including toys, books and clothing, as well as necessities like diapers and baby wipes to help them celebrate the holiday season.
