Rice County, Minn., Adopts Simplifile E-recording
RICE COUNTY, Minn. (PRWEB) September 14, 2015 -- Rice County is now accepting electronic documents for recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing document submitters with a faster, more cost-effective recording method online.
Using Simplifile’s secure, web-based service, customers ranging from title companies to banks, attorneys, and lien filers, have the ability to scan or upload and submit documents directly to the recorder’s office where they are reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned electronically in minutes. Customers can benefit from a much faster, more convenient recording option online that saves them time and money.
“At my last conference I received a lot of positive feedback about e-recording. I felt that we were ready to move forward and start electronic recording,” said Rice County Recorder Judy VanErp.
Customers also have the ability to track and view the status of their documents that have been submitted through Simplifile, making it easier and more cost effective to correct and resubmit any rejected documents. If an electronic document is rejected for any reason, customers are notified immediately through Simplifile, giving them the ability to quickly correct and resubmit the document back to the county.
Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, helping to reduce payment errors.
Rice County joins 74 other e-recording counties in Minnesota that have adopted Simplifile’s e-recording service. Nationwide, more than 1,290 counties also e-record with Simplifile.
