Richard Creese Joins as Partner of Cherry Bekaert's Assurance & Accounting Group
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) September 10, 2014 -- Enhancing the services and expertise provided by its Assurance & Accounting group, Cherry Bekaert LLP ("the Firm") is proud to welcome Richard W. Creese as a Partner within the Firm's Atlanta practice.
In this role, Creese will guide companies in engagements such as Securities and Exchange Commission registration and reporting, including initial public offerings, acquisition and divestiture assistance, revenue recognition, International Financial Reporting Standards reporting, financial statement audits, and the employee benefit plan audits of domestic and global clients. Clients he will serve include public organizations, family-owned businesses, private-equity and venture-backed portfolio companies, and subsidiaries of multinational corporations.

With a public accounting career spanning more than 27 years, Creese was an audit partner at a Big Four firm before joining Cherry Bekaert. In this capacity, he assisted various sized companies from the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, real estate, construction, technology and life sciences industries.
Most recently, Creese was an independent contractor, consultant and vice president of a $14 billion health and dental company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He helped the company by implementing multiple process and productivity improvements with Six Sigma methodologies.
Receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, Creese is an alumnus of Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. A licensed Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Creese is also involved with the Technology Association of Georgia.
