Richard Soares’ New Book Satires Politics, America
Dewey, Ariz. (PRWEB) March 30, 2015 -- “The Pfurst Family Diaries” (published by Abbott Press) is Richard Soares’ latest novel. It’s a satirical romp through the moneyed landscape of America’s political-industrial-military complex.
The book follows the herculean efforts of Philless Pfurst-Steen to eliminate government waste and gridlock by replacing it with an all-powerful TeraCorp headed by a Supreme Executive Officer (SEXO). Philless offers megalomaniacs a simple guide to permanent residency in the White House.
Philless’s grandfather, US Senator Phillip Pfurst, is the first Pfurst to seek permanent occupancy of the Oval Office.
An excerpt spoken by Phillip Pfurst from “The Pfurst Family Diaries” in regards to national security:
“’America’s enemies will come to know what I know when it’s too late for them to know what I know,’ he replied to the foolish young reporter. ‘There are many things that remain unknowable to those who would do harm to our great nation. But patriotic Americans can rest assured that those things that are knowable to me, will remain unknowable to our enemies until such time as I’m ready to make them known to the whole world.’”
“‘The Pfurst Family Diaries’ is a whacky tale of what happens when money is granted voting rights and greed dines on steroids,” Soares says.
