Richardson County, Neb., Begins E-recording with Simplifile
RICHARDSON COUNTY, Neb. (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, is now available to customers in Richardson County, Neb., where land record documents can be submitted electronically to the clerk’s office for recording.
“Customers who prefer to submit their documents electronically will now have that option with e-recording available,” said Richardson County Clerk Mary Eickhoff. “It speeds up the recording process and cuts down on paper waste and mailing costs.”
Customers include title companies, banks, attorneys, and other organizations that submit documents such as deeds and mortgages to the clerk’s office for recording.
“We’re excited to bring our e-recording service to Richardson County and provide this easy-to-use technology to help both the county and its customers streamline their document recording processes,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “Instead of waiting on the mail or driving to the clerk’s office, customers can have their documents stamped and recorded in minutes.”
Other benefits of e-recording include increased document security, fewer payment errors, and fewer rejected documents.
Richardson County is Nebraska’s 60th e-recording county, joining more than 1,080 recording jurisdictions nationwide that have also adopted Simplifile’s e-recording service.
High-speed Internet access, a computer, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to be able to start e-recording.
