Ried Thiel Named VP Engineering at AchieveIt
Atlanta (PRWEB) August 10, 2015 -- Ried Thiel has been named vice president of engineering at AchieveIt, the leading provider of cloud-based enterprise software for Results Management, enabling organizations to align plans, people and performance to drive results via management excellence.
Thiel brings 20 years of experience to the Atlanta technology company which has experienced a significant growth period during the first half of 2015.
Prior to joining AchieveIt, Thiel served as vice president of engineering at Salesfusion where he implemented a host of new processes and procedures in the engineering function designed to improve productivity and effectiveness including:
• A new quality control system;
• A test driven development process;
• A continuous Integration practice; and,
• A continuous delivery approach.

A graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Computer Science, Thiel has held a wide range of technology leadership positions including serving as chief information officer at two Atlanta-based companies, DynaSis and Interra International. He has also worked for the former Nations Bank (now Bank of America) and Fannie Mae, and led his own consulting company.
Thiel is an avid soccer player and is the director of goalkeeping for Georgia Rush Soccer as well as serving as a youth soccer coach.
Earlier this year, AchieveIt received $2 million in a Series D funding round. BIP Capital, among the most active and successful growth capital investors in the Southeast, led the funding effort, which also included a number of BIP advisor-partners. The funding will enable the company to continue to expand its marketing, sales, product development and service capabilities.
