Rimini Street’s updates included the 2014-A update for PeopleSoft licensees, which was delivered ahead of the vendor’s own scheduled delivery date for similar updates, as well as updates for SAP, JD Edwards and E-Business Suite licensees, as needed. The updates provided clients with significant new tax, legal and regulatory changes required for the U.S. and Canada, as well as Brazil, Mexico and the United Kingdom. U.S. and Canadian Updates

In the U.S. and Canada, there were numerous year-end processing and reporting updates including tax, reporting and filing changes required by the Internal Revenue Service, the Canadian Revenue Agency, and state and local governments.

For clients in the U.S., Rimini Street delivered tax, legal, and regulatory updates at the federal, state, local and territory levels. At the U.S. federal government level, Rimini Street provided several updates, including changes to IRS Form 1099, updates related to the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), as well as an individual update to address IRS Notice 1036, which included withholding table changes effective January 1, 2014. In addition, Rimini Street delivered updates to U.S. Bonus Depreciation, W2 and W2C forms and electronic files, and is planning to deliver Form 941 updates in January 2014.

At the U.S. state, local and territory government levels, Rimini Street updates contained various standard deductions, exemption amounts and withholding tax rate changes for many states, including Alaska, California, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon and Rhode Island, as well as minimum wage changes for Colorado, Missouri, New Jersey and Vermont. Additional Unemployment Insurance Taxable Wage Base changes were included for Alaska, Idaho, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah and Wyoming. At the local level, dozens of tax updates were provided for municipalities in Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

For clients in Canada, Rimini Street delivered year-end reporting changes, including support for T4, T4A and R1 slips, revised forms and electronic filing. The updates also included changes to federal indexation adjustments, provincial Maximum Assessable earnings, and Pension Contribution and Employment Insurance rates.

Global Updates for Brazil, Mexico and United Kingdom
