Riptide Innovates Solution for LMS Deficiencies: First xAPI Compliant, Mobile-Ready e-Learning Platform
(PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Riptide Learning, a division of Riptide Software, Inc., is delivering e-learning content worldwide, on any device, in any language for enterprise learner populations. The Riptide Elements® platform has a growing list of private and public sector client use cases and rapid adoption.
“We’ve recently completed a learning integration for more than 25,000 users in 24 languages, including Chinese, Korean, Greek and Arabic with seamless integration to the institutional third party LMS,” said Nick Washburn, Director of Riptide’s Learning Division. “The industry continues to wait for LMS providers to deliver a ‘bring-your-own-device’ solution that works for PC or mobile. Riptide solves this problem by integrating to any LMS with innovative xAPI compliant reporting and dashboards.”
Riptide’s Elements® platform allows e-learning on the web browsers of any device—PC or mobile—and uses the same Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology as Netflix and HBO, to deliver mobile content worldwide.
“We are also providing data visualizations to compare learning results and information from other systems, like key performance indicators for our clients, to gauge return on investment and training effectiveness,” says Washburn.
Riptide continues to share with the community governed by the Advanced Distributed Learning Directorate (ADL). Riptide Elements is a reference implementation of the xAPI specification. XAPI makes learning content “smart,” competencies are better measured, and adaptive learning strategies become possible with the xAPI specification.
“Riptide is very proud to be working directly with the ADL to help guide and shape a better learner experience,” said Philip Loeffel, President/CEO of Riptide. “We believe in supporting the community through great technology innovation and the Elements platform is the most cost effective means of xAPI compliance.”
