Riverside Tappahannock Family Practice Welcomes New Physician
Tappahannock, Va. (PRWEB) July 20, 2013 -- Riverside Health System’s Tappahannock Family Practice welcomed Anshul Gupta, MD to its medical team this month.
“Riverside values their patients, and that’s something that I wanted to be a part of,” Dr. Gupta said of his attraction to joining the Riverside Medical Group team in Tappahannock. “Growing up, I was inspired by an uncle who was a doctor in a small town. I saw the impact he had on the small community and I hope make a similar difference here.”
The Tappahannock Family Practice is located in Suite C, at 300 Mt. Clement Park, near the Riverside Tappahannock Hospital.
Dr. Gupta earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India. He completed his family medicine residency in Minnesota at the Hennepin County Medical Center near Minneapolis.
Dr. Gupta is board eligible with the American Board of Family Medicine.
“My goal is to work with patients and get them healthy,” Dr. Gupta said. “I try to incorporate a holistic approach to helping patients reach their health goals. Along with conventional medicine, we work on lifestyle changes, including diet and exercise.”
While this may be his first time in Virginia, Dr. Gupta is already thinking about how to be more active on the Chesapeake Bay waters.
“We love the outdoors, hiking and camping,” Dr. Gupta said of what he and his wife enjoy when he’s not in the clinic. “We love the water and the water activities around here. I’ve already told my wife I think we need a boat.”
