Riverstone Residential Group Names Peggy Bertsch Chief Accounting Officer
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- Riverstone Residential Group, one of the largest privately-owned, third-party multifamily property management companies in the United States, announces the appointment of Peggy Bertsch as chief accounting officer. In her new role, Bertsch will assume elevated oversight of Riverstone's treasury, finance, and accounting groups.
Bertsch formerly acted as executive vice president, accounting and management systems. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing Riverstone's client accounting group, charged with safeguarding assets and generating and analyzing financial data for clients and communities. In addition, she also led the management systems group, which provides clients and Riverstone associates with a broad range of tools to maintain best accounting practices, develop business strategies, and serve residents in an efficient manner.
Bertsch has been working in the accounting field since 1994. Prior to joining Riverstone, she served as national controller at Trammell Crow Residential Services, held a senior financial position at Yahoo! Inc., and was an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia with high honors, and is a certified public accountant in both Missouri and Texas. Bertsch is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as a member of the Real Estate Financial Executive Association. She previously served as a committee member of the North Texas Yardi User Group.
