RMA of Pennsylvania to Host Informational Seminar on Egg Freezing
Allentown, PA (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Please join Dr. Wendy Schillings of Reproductive Medicine Associates of Pennsylvania (RMAPA) for an informational seminar on egg freezing on Tuesday April 21st at 7:00pm in her office located at 1401 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., Suite 200 in Allentown. During the seminar, Dr. Wendy Schillings will present a wealth of information regarding the topic of egg freezing. She will provide an in-depth look at the egg freezing process, including patient care and medications used during the procedure, freezing techniques used in the laboratory, and future options for using frozen eggs to achieve pregnancy.
It is well known that as a woman approaches 35 years of age and older, her fertility potential greatly diminishes. Many women today opt to establish their personal and professional goals before settling down and having children. Egg freezing provides women with more options, empowering them to extend their reproductive futures for the right time to build a family.
Audience members will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Schillings questions during a brief question and answer session immediately following her presentation. In addition, there will be a chance to tour the RMAPA facility and enjoy light refreshments. If you are interested in attending the seminar please RSVP at http://www.rmapa.com/RSVP.
The egg freezing seminar will take place during the 26th anniversary of National Infertility Awareness Week®, a movement that actively seeks to raise awareness about the disease of infertility. The National Public Education Initiative was created by RESOLVE, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of women and men living with infertility and to ensure equal access to all family building options for people experiencing infertility or other reproductive disorders.
RMAPA is a nationwide leader in successful in vitro fertilization procedures. According to a report released in March 2015 by the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), RMAPA has a 81.8% (18/22) success rate for InVitro Fertilization (IVF) embryo transfers resulting in a live birth, for women under 35. The national average for this age group is 47.7%.*
