Robbins Gioia Assists Council on Cyber Security
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- Robbins Gioia (RG) is proud to announce its participation in and support for the Council on Cyber Security’s newly released Top 20 Critical Security Controls Version 5.0—a reference set of recommendations for tangible methods to address risks to enterprise data and systems. The Critical Security Controls are designed to give organizations a prioritized and proven list of the most important security activities which should be implemented to protect against cyber attacks.
RG’s cybersecurity subject matter experts were key participants on the panel that was responsible for updating the Controls and helped to facilitate sessions through use of The Performance Institute.
In addition to the assisting with the efforts to update the Critical Security Controls, RG also championed the use of the Critical Security Controls as a Framework Profile to support organizations that are adopting the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity. This Profile provides quick wins and tactical priority for security activities giving organizations an onramp for implementing a holistic cybersecurity risk management program.
