StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries (The StreetLight) was created to be a beacon of hope for the poor and homeless of Prince William County and northern Virginia. Children account for over a quarter of the area’s homeless population, which numbers around 2000. The Streetlight’s mission is to improve the quality of life for impoverished men, women and children, including the chronically homeless. Providing both transitional and permanent housing, crisis aid and a food pantry, programs also include support groups, counseling and mentoring, The StreetLight offers their clientele dignity and compassion, while working hard to build relationships which will facilitate personal growth, spiritual renewal, independence and re-integration into a healthy community.
