ROBIN releases API for platform independent order integration in customer service dashboard
(PRWEB) March 05, 2014 -- Today, ROBIN released its API so that any web store can enrich their ROBIN customer service dashboard with e-commerce data, regardless of the e-commerce platform they’re using.
ROBIN is an all-in-one customer service app for web stores. Developers who wish to use the API to build a connection between an e-commerce platform and ROBIN can request an API key and API secret (password) via the ROBIN support site.
Contextual customer service for e-commerce
Online stores using Shopify, Magento or SEOshop, already enjoy free integration between their e-commerce platform and their online ROBIN customer service dashboard. Showing order, billing and shipping data adds valuable context to the customers’ question, so that web store teams can offer online shoppers better and faster service.
The ROBIN dashboard also shows retention information such as customer lifetime value, total number of orders and first date of purchase. This helps web stores to better prioritize their customer service requests and increase their focus on return customers.
In addition to adding e-commerce data to the customer profile by establishing a connection with the e-commerce platform, developers can now also enrich their customer profiles with information from CRM, Business Intelligence and other databases.
ROBIN CEO Patrick Speijers says: “In 2014 customers expect a more personalized conversation and shopping experience. Through our API, ROBIN allows web stores to enrich customer profiles with social links, location, clothing size, birthday, coupon balance and much more. This way, every staff member knows the customer personally.”
An increasing number of e-commerce platforms
Shopify, Magento and SEOshop users who sign up for ROBIN automatically get the free integration with their e-commerce platform. Recently, ROBIN was one of 15 launching apps in Bigcommerce integrated apps store (oAuth). ROBIN expects to finalize the order integration for Bigcommerce within’ the next few months.
Currently we’ve already granted API access to developers who wish to build an integration for Prestashop, Woocommerce, SumoStore and more.
For each developer or organization who is first to create a new re-usable store connection, we offer a 12 months free Team Pro plan in exchange for the source code which must be placed on Github.
ROBIN’s Team Pro supports multi-store customer service. This means that multiple web stores, from multiple e-commerce platforms can be connected to and integrated with one online customer service dashboard.
