New York, NY (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- On October 1, the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) announced its new Executive and Management Committee for 2016. The Committee, comprised of key leaders in the commercial finance industry, will guide the Association, make policy decisions, confirm new members and provide advocacy, education and thought leadership for the industry.
Robyn Barrett, founder and managing member of FSW Funding, a leading asset-based lender headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz., will serve as a member of the 2016 Executive Committee. Ms. Barrett has been an active member of the CFA since 2007 and is active in the Women in Commercial Finance community as a member of the Social Media Sub-Committee and Young Professional Thought Leadership Award Selection Committee.
“I am honored to be invited to represent the industry professionals on the 2016 CFA Executive Committee,” states Ms. Barrett. “As a member of the Committee I will look at focusing on how we can best serve and grow the industry on a whole and what we can do to continue to support and mentor women.”
As the managing member of FSW Funding, Ms. Barrett leads her team and works with client to provide alternative lending and financial solutions for small and midsize companies located across the U.S. Under her direction, since opening its doors in 2001, FSW has helped more than 360 companies from start-ups through growth mode, increase their cash flow to survive and expand.
Before launching her own company, Ms. Barrett spent more than a decade working in the corporate world. She spent six years with The Dial Corporation, where she held an array of accounting and management positions; handling everything from preparing and analyzing budgets for the company’s two chief products – Dial Bar Soap and Liquid Dial Soap – to working with the organization’s marketing and advertising executives on increasing gross margin, identifying efficient allocation of marketing dollars and implementing new financial analysis software. She then moved into corporate finance at FINOVA Capital Corporation, a Phoenix-based publicly traded commercial lender.
Ms. Barrett earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. She also holds a master’s in business from Grand Canyon University and maintains her CPA.
“The CFA wouldn’t be where it is today without all the hard work, dedication and insight of our Executive and Management Committees. Looking to the future, we are able to continually take CFA to the next level because of the commitment and engagement of our leaders and members,” stated Bob Trojan, CFA Chief Executive Officer.
