Rockville-based Health IT Company Heads to Germany to Participate in MEDICA Conference
Rockville, Maryland (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- Rockville-based health information technology company Get Real Health is traveling to Germany to participate in the MEDICA conference, the world’s largest medical trade show, after being awarded the ExportMD grant from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED). Get Real Health will be showcasing its flagship product, InstantPHR®, a comprehensive web and mobile patient engagement platform that helps close the loop of the patient care continuum.
Get Real Health will be one of eight Maryland companies to attend the MEDICA conference, which will take place in Dusseldorf November 12-15, as part of a state delegation led by DBED Secretary Dominick Murray. The conference will focus on topics critical to the healthcare industry, including the integrative concept of “Science Meets Medical Technology” and how this intersection will introduce advancements in diagnostics and therapy.
“InstantPHR is designed to seamlessly integrate healthcare and technology, so we see MEDICA as the perfect opportunity to spread the word about this platform to an international audience,” said Robin Wiener, President and Founding Partner at Get Real Health. More than 130,000 people from around the world are expected to attend the conference.
InstantPHR has already established an international presence, with hospital systems and healthcare providers in the United Kingdom and Canada using the product. Additionally Get Real Health touts strategic partnerships with industry leaders in Canada, Australia and the Middle East. The InstantPHR platform easily adapts to an international market by supporting multiple languages, right-to-left text and integrating with any healthcare related technology.
Being part of the MEDICA conference is an extension of Get Real Health’s relationships with DBED and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Both agencies have turned to Get Real Health for subject-matter expertise regarding health information technology and consumer engagement in the U.S. and global markets. The company’s success exporting its product as a small business and its industry-wide recognition as a leading patient engagement solution have also helped Get Real Health become a key player on the international health IT stage.
“We were thrilled when we received the ExportMD grant and are now looking forward to exhibiting alongside other innovative Maryland companies in the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development booth,” said Wiener. “We are also working closely with the U.S. Department of Commerce on meetings at the MEDICA conference that will be set up with medical industry specialists from a number of targeted countries.”
