Rockynol Retirement Community Medical Director Dr. Steven Cochran Retires After 39 Years of Service

Akron, OH (PRWEB) October 22, 2014 -- Rockynol Retirement Community recently celebrated the retirement of Medical Director, Dr. Steven Cochran. Dr. Cochran retired on Oct. 7, 2014 after 36 years as medical director, and 39 total years as a physician at Rockynol.

"I have had the pleasure of taking care of some of the most amazing people, and I have had the honor of working with some very dedicated staff at Rockynol,” said Dr. Cochran. When asked about his retirement, Dr. Cochran said, “I have been coming to Rockynol every Thursday for the last 39 years. I have to fight my car on Thursday mornings to not drive to Rockynol."

"Words cannot describe what Dr. Cochran means to Rockynol, and we cannot thank him enough for his dedication throughout the years. Under his leadership as medical director, we have grown to become Akron's premier Retirement Community," said Rockynol Executive Director, Kara Hanzie.

Dr. Maryjo Cleveland has been appointed as Rockynol’s new medical director, effective Oct. 7, 2014.

"I wanted a medical director that would continue to provide what is best for the residents at Rockynol. The day I met Maryjo, I knew right away, I wanted her to be Rockynol's new Medical Director,” said Dr. Cochran.

Dr. Cochran received his medical degree from University California, Davis School of Medicine.
