Ron Castorina Esq. to Pursue New Means of Public Service
Staten Island, NY (PRWEB) December 09, 2015 -- Richmond County Republican Commissioner of New York City Board of Elections, Ron Castorina, Esq. announced in a letter to Commissioner Michael Michel yesterday that he will be stepping down from his position effective Friday, December 11th at 5PM.
“I am thankful to have been given this opportunity by my party, and credit my appointment to former Minority Leader Vincent M. Ignizio and Borough President James S. Oddo,” Castorina said in his letter. “Over the past two years the Board of Elections has accomplished great things for this city, and I look forward to continuing my passion for public service.”
Castorina highlighted recent progress made by the Board of Elections including its Anti-Nepotism Policy, Tablet Program, and real-time posting of results on its website. Other noteworthy initiatives included the recycling of 136 tons of voter documentation along with the Ballot on Demand Program which increased efficiency and saved tax payer dollars.
