Room to Read Launches New Responsive Website, Gives Investors Flexible Giving Options
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) October 04, 2016 -- Room to Read, a global non-profit organization focused on children’s literacy and girls’ education, announced today the launch of its new website. The new website is responsive, able to be viewed easily on any device, and optimized to highlight stories of impact, transformational giving opportunities, a new legacy giving society and corporate partnerships. A new streamlined donation platform allows investors to make a monthly or one-time gift in one of 10 currencies and seamlessly communicates how various investments equate to support of Room to Read’s programs.
Room to Read’s website has been a platform since the organization’s founding in 2000 to tell the story of the organization’s impact and engage with partners and investors. In 2014, the site had over 685,000 visits. The new website, developed in partnership with Free Range, will allow Room to Read to attract new donors and better connect with existing supporters. Room to Read’s programs in Literacy and Girls’ Education are featured in depth at https://www.roomtoread.org as well as options for investors to get involved and take action with flexibility and ease.
The new website takes visitors on several journeys through features including a:
• Literacy & Girls’ Education page, https://roomtoread.org/literacy-girls-education/, which draws attention to the challenges children face around the world along with Room to Read’s data-backed approach to solving these issues.
• Impact & Reach center, https://roomtoread.org/impact-reach/, with map features and dashboard metrics illustrating Room to Read’s geographic reach and global impact.
• Take Action section, https://roomtoread.org/take-action/, providing visitors with inspiring ways to join Room to Read’s movement including options to become a monthly investor, join a local volunteer chapter, or start a fundraising campaign.
“We know that our investors and partners want options, and now we are providing an engaging giving experience that includes flexibility and choice which are critical to our continued success in retaining and growing our fundraising base,” said Rebecca Hankin, Vice President of Marketing & Communications.
About Room to Read
Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, Room to Read’s innovative model focuses on deep, systemic transformation within schools in low-income countries during two time periods which are most critical in a child’s schooling: early primary school for literacy acquisition and secondary school for girls’ education. We work in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children and ensure girls can complete secondary school with the skills necessary to negotiate key life decisions. Room to Read has benefited 10 million children across 18,000 communities in Asia and Africa and aims to reach 15 million children by 2020. Learn more at https://www.roomtoread.org.
